James Rizzi

1950 born in New York (USA). Worked and lived  in NYC until his death in December 2011.

Invented 3‑D-Construction as a commercial art form. The colourful, naive multiples elaborated in great detail became his trademark. Depicting every-day scenes, his etchings and handcolored prints were influenced by the buzz and multicultural atmosphere of Rizzi’s hometown NYC.

3‑D-Constructions mounted on paper, handmade, signed. Original drawings on paper.

Represented by Foxx Gallery since 1994.
The opening in 2006 was attended by the artist.
