Billy the Artist (BTA)

1964 born in Cleve­land (USA). Worked and lived in New York until his death in Jan­u­ary 2022.

„Cre­ate your own real­i­ty“ was the „leit­mo­tif“ that Bil­ly the Artist (BTA) lives by. Bil­ly cap­tured the ener­gy and pow­er of the city around him, cre­at­ing what he called „Urban Prim­i­tive Pop“, a kalei­do­scope of puz­zle-like images. He has been embraced by both the fine and com­mer­cial art worlds, exhibit­ing at Art Basel Mia­mi, Fash­ion Shows or cre­at­ing watch­es (SWATCH), beer­cans, cloth­ing as well as doing live per­for­mances such as paint­ing live on the Bund, Shanghai.

Orig­i­nals (Acrylic paint, ink) on can­vas. Com­mis­sion of Live Paint­ings, Graf­fi­tis, designs for cars, motor­cy­cles, sculp­tures, etc.

Rep­re­sent­ed by Foxx Gallery since 2011.
Open­ings at Foxx Gallery and live acts took place on a reg­u­lar basis attend­ed by the artist.
