Werner Berges

1941 born in Clop­pen­burg (GER). Worked and lived in Schall­stadt bei Freiburg und Cadaqués/Spain until his death in Octo­ber 2017.

Main top­ic of his work is the flaw­less female body known from the adver­tis­ments of the 70’s. Detached from its set­ting, Berges places the women into a whole new con­text. Dis­tin­guished rep­re­sen­ta­tive of Ger­man Pop Art.

Signed and lim­it­ed edi­tions on vat paper deriv­ing from draw­ings of the 70’s.

Since 2002 rep­re­sent­ed by Foxx Gallery.
